Job summary

Qualified Health is hiring Senior Forward Deployed Data Engineers to own platform-specific builds for Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric within health-system engagements. You will lead ingestion, governance, and data-sharing patterns while sustaining production lakehouses in regulated environments.

Work closely with health system customers on-site, delivering rapid, governance-compliant AI-ready data pipelines and reusable accelerators.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or data platform roles at Senior/Staff IC level.
• On-site client experience and ability to present to data/IT leadership.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in at least one platform: Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Produced production data workloads in regulated environments (HIPAA/HITRUST).
• Strong Python and distributed processing (PySpark), SQL, and modern tools.
• Capable of owning a build as the sole platform expert on an engagement.
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD discipline (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Own platform-specific architecture and build for your stack during engagements.
• Lead ingestion from EHR and source systems into a medallion lakehouse.
• Design and implement CDC, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
• Configure governance and data sharing patterns for AI-ready data.
• Maintain production environments and develop reusable accelerators and IP.
• Support pre-sales technical discovery and data assessments.
• Ensure environments are governed, documented, and handoff-ready.
• Cross-train on other platforms to stay flexible across engagements.
