Job summary

Google is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer IV in Applied AI to drive end-to-end engineering for customer AI initiatives. You will transform quick prototypes into scalable, secure AI systems deployed at customer sites, leading technical delivery for pilots and first customer journeys for major clients.

You will work with a wide portfolio including Gemini models and Vertex AI, collaborating with DeepMind engineers to solve complex customer challenges and ensure adoption of Google-scale AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development using Python or similar languages.
• Experience deploying resources via Terraform or similar tools to automate setup of agents, functions, or networking.
• Experience building full-stack applications interacting with enterprise IT infrastructures and developing external customer projects.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead developer for conversational AI and customer experience apps, turning rapid prototypes into production-grade agent workflows.
• Architect and code conversational flows connecting Google's AI products with customers' live infrastructure and security perimeters.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to optimize agent workloads and reduce latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns in Google’s AAI stack and convert them into reusable modules.
• Co-build with customer teams to ensure project success and end-user adoption.
