Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer IV in Reston, VA to lead production-grade AI integrations. You will architect and implement agentic workflows, connect Google AI products to customer infrastructure, and ensure high performance, security, and scalability across federal and education sectors.

The role demands advanced AI/cloud experience and active TS/SCI clearance. You will collaborate with customers and Google's product teams to deliver resilient data pipelines,

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD preferred in AI/CS or related tech field.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (GCP).
• 8+ years in software development with Python or similar languages.
• Experience building data pipelines with vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex AI applications and production-grade agentic workflows.
• Connect Google's AI products with customers' live infra via APIs and data silos.
• Develop evaluation pipelines and observability for accuracy, safety, latency.
• Identify reusable modules and contribute feature requests to Eng teams.
• Co-build with Customer Engineering to promote adoption and best practices.
