Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Sr. Fortinet SDWAN Architect for an onsite role in Jersey City, with a 12-month contract. You will design, implement, and optimize secure web gateway environments, while driving automation and efficiency across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate has hands-on proxy/security expertise, 7+ years in related roles, and proficiency with Broadcom Blue Coat, Zscaler, or Netskope. Strong scripting and collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, network security, or proxy engineering roles.
• Hands-on installation, migration, and management of proxy technologies (Broadcom Blue Coat, Secure Web Gateway).
• Experience with SaaS-based secure gateway platforms such as Zscaler or Netskope.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, load balancing, firewalls).
• Automation and scripting using Python, Shell, or Ansible for automation and improvement.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience with SIEM tools for investigations and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and optimize proxy infrastructure for performance and security.
• Conduct proxy code certification, feature enablement, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to align network and proxy activities with goals.
• Automate workflows and repetitive tasks using Python, Shell, or Ansible.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for proxy incidents.
• Partner with vendors to evaluate features and performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and runbooks.
• Support security incident investigations leveraging SIEM tools.
