Velocity Maintenance Services in Alabama seeks a skilled Forklift Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on lift trucks. You will manage the maintenance shop, maintain inventory, and ensure OSHA-compliant safety in everyday operations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, the ability to read schematics and diagrams, on-call readiness, and a commitment to quality service for manufacturing and warehousing clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in forklift maintenance or related field.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong electrical and LP troubleshooting skills.
• Industrial battery experience.
• Dock & door experience.
• Arc, Mig, and Tig welding experience preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams.
• Ability to organize own work and work independently with limited supervision.
• Seeking someone who is motivated, goal oriented, punctual, and professional with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for customers.
• Facilitate PM schedules.
• Coordinate and drive warranty requests.
• Parts ordering and inventory management (5S inventory skills).
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis and warranty coverage research.
• Complete repairs of equipment in a timely manner per manufacturer guidelines.
• Equipment inspection and audits per PM tools schedule.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and timely completion of safety training.
