Job summary

Velocity Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on lift trucks and related equipment. The role involves managing the maintenance shop, ensuring proper inventory, and maintaining OSHA-compliant safety standards.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance on electric forklifts, racking systems, dock doors, scissor lifts, tuggers, and related assets; strong attention to detail, accurate service records, and readiness

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or similar role.
• High School or GED diploma required.
• Strong electrical / LP troubleshooting skills.
• Industrial battery experience.
• Dock & door experience.
• Arc, Mig, and Tig welding experience preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for customers.
• Facilitate PM schedules and work/repair requests.
• Be on call as needed.
• Coordinate warranty requests and outside vendor work.
• Manage parts ordering and 5S inventory.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Complete repairs per manufacturer guidelines and within timelines.
• Maintain accurate work records and hours in CMMS timekeeping.
