Job summary

Velocity Maintenance Services in Edwardsville, IL seeks a Forklift Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on lift trucks and to manage the maintenance shop, inventory, and safety in compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently; ownership of hand tools and willingness to acquire any additional tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in forklift/industrial equipment maintenance.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repair skills.
• Read electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact for customers and internal teams.
• Facilitate PM schedules and repair requests.
• Willing to be on call and coordinate warranty requests.
• Order parts and manage inventory (5S).
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate service records and timekeeping.
