Job summary

Velocity Maintenance Services seeks an experienced Forklift Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, plus scheduled maintenance on lift trucks. You will manage the shop, maintain inventory, and uphold OSHA safety standards in a customer facility environment.

The role requires strong diagnostics, ability to read schematics, and willingness to be on call. Training and mentoring are available as part of a growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• High School or GED Diploma required.
• Strong electrical / LP troubleshooting skills.
• Industrial battery experience.
• Dock & door experience.
• Arc, Mig, and Tig welding experience preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams.
• Independent work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for customers.
• Facilitate PM schedules.
• Facilitate work/repair requests.
• Willing to be on call.
• Coordinate and drive warranty requests.
• Facilitate outside vendor work (PO process and billing).
• Parts ordering and inventory management (5S).
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and root cause analysis.
• Perform audits per PM planning tools in CMMS.
• Maintain safety and organize work areas.
