Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse environment.

As an experienced dock team member, you will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, ensure accurate documentation, and support productivity. This onsite role requires 3+ years in dock/warehouse, forklift certification, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, and position freight between dock doors and areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading per safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation.
