Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, or related natural science.
Five years of full-performance professional criminalist/forensic analysis experience.
Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 accredited labs and quality systems.
Experience with QA/QC activities and nonconformity resolution.

Responsibilities

Directs and oversees daily unit operations of the Drug Chemistry and Trace Unit.
Sets priorities, assigns work, monitors workloads, and ensures timely case completion.
Implements goals and strategies to support laboratory priorities and service delivery.
Provides technical guidance on validation/verification and interpretation of results.
Ensures analytical methods are validated/verified and report defensibility.
