Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services in Austin seeks a Program Specialist V to support the Forensic Services and Coordination Office. The Forensic Services Coordinator IV provides consultative support, technical assistance, and training for the forensic wait list and related programs.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, professional licensure, and strong analytical/communications skills. It is a full-time, exempt on-site position with telework eligibility and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Professional licensure in LMSW, LCSW, or LPC or eligibility required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in forensic mental health.
• Knowledge of forensics laws, programs, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and trainings on forensic topics.
• Serve as liaison to internal and external stakeholders and explain program services.
• Analyze program performance data and prepare progress reports.
• Develop policies, procedures, and standards for program operations.
• Track and report on program activities and outcomes to leadership.
• Market programs to community stakeholders to encourage participation.
