Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Senior Forensic Consultant specializing in premises liability to conduct investigations, assess causation, and provide expert analysis for litigation and client support. The role emphasizes client relationship development and industry engagement.

The position is remote with travel ~50% across the United States, including major metro areas. Ideal candidates have PE/CSP credentials or advanced degrees and a proven track record in forensic consulting and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or related technical discipline
• 4+ years of experience in premises liability investigations or forensic consulting
• Experience evaluating building codes, safety standards and regulations
• Experience preparing expert reports and giving testimony
• Proficiency with 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and forensic documentation tools

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations of premises liability claims and litigation matters
• Evaluate site conditions, building features, maintenance practices, and environmental factors related to incident causation
• Perform site inspections, scene documentation, and evidence collection
• Analyze slip, trip, and fall incidents and develop technical opinions on causation and liability
• Perform walkway friction testing and slip resistance evaluations
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and expert witness materials
• Provide deposition and trial testimony as an expert witness
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, biomechanics, safety, and forensic disciplines
