Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking an experienced forecasting professional to join Network Solutions Forecasting. This role focuses on accurate workforce planning and forecasting for Amazon's customer service network, impacting costs and service quality on a global scale.

The candidate will build statistically grounded and explainable models, work with senior leaders, and translate insights for non-technical audiences while managing multiple analyses and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of forecasting analyst experience.
• Experience with SQL and one or more statistical modeling languages (R, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, or Python).
• Excellent verbal and written communication to share findings with executives.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Model forecasting problems using statistical, machine learning, algorithmic, data mining and visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to analyze forecast variances and drive improvements.
• Apply diverse data sources and analytical techniques to answer high-impact business questions and present insights clearly.
• Communicate insights to non-technical audiences and drive issues to resolution.
