Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an experienced Forecasting Manager to develop and implement our demand forecasting and headcount planning tools at a global scale. You will model forecasting problems using advanced statistical methods, discover insights, and automate where possible.

You will lead cross-functional teams, analyze forecast variances, and design staffing plans and site models to optimize hiring and operations. Excellent communication to non-technical audiences is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Engineering/Economics.
5+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

Produce and communicate Long Range and Short Range forecasts for a variety of business oriented KPIs, ingested by Planners, Finance managers, Program managers and Operations.
Produce strategical staffing plans, including hiring plans and site strategy models, and communicate those plans to Operations leaders.
Design, build and implement innovative forecasting and planning tools and mechanisms, to create a reliable and effective short and long term forecast for a wide range of Amazon Ads departments.
Build and maintain KPIs that reliably reflect forecasting accuracy, and downstream impact on the business.
Create new reporting & analytic opportunities by analysing and understanding key planning processes
Thought leadership on integration of new products/services supported by Advertising.
Write and present documents up to the VP level.
