Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Michigan seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality assurance programs in a food manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet food safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement and audit readiness.

You will promote a strong food safety culture, develop training for all shifts, manage CAPA, root cause investigations, risk assessments, and oversee audits and environmental monitoring in collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent quality assurance experience.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience managing food safety and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, FDA, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the facility.
• Develop and manage food safety and quality training programs for employees across all shifts.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, FDA, SQF, and other applicable regulations.
• Maintain readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) programs, root cause investigations, and risk assessments.
• Oversee product hold/release procedures and environmental monitoring programs.
• Manage allergen control, foreign material detection, labeling accuracy, and sanitation programs.
• Track quality KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve quality and food safety performance.
• Investigate and respond to customer and consumer complaints.
