Zusammenfassung

Welch's is seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Supervisor to lead quality excellence at our Lawton, Michigan facility. This on-site role oversees production recipes translation, lab operations, and cross-functional problem solving to ensure safe, high-quality products.

You will manage the FSQ team, drive continuous improvement, coach staff, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRCGS/FSSC 22000 programs. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifikationen

• Technical education in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality, Microbiology, or related manufacturing discipline.
• Three or more years of progressive experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Plant Operations, or related manufacturing environment with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and manufacturing quality systems, with ability to learn new technologies.
• Hands-on experience applying microbiology, sanitation, thermal processing, HACCP principles, and FSMA Preventive Controls.

Aufgaben

• Create and manage production recipes from R&D formulas, translating to manufacturing while accounting for juice attributes and process variability.
• Lead finished product verification and release activities, including disposition of held product and guidance on rework decisions.
• Champion the implementation and ongoing use of Statistical Process Control (InfinityQS) to strengthen process capability and product consistency.
• Conduct line inspections, GMP audits, and food safety assessments, partnering with Operations to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance for ingredients and packaging materials to ensure quality expectations are met.
• Develop, maintain, and improve plant standard operating procedures.
• Serve as a technical resource for food safety, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and plant decision-making.
• Lead the daily execution of on-site laboratory operations and supervise the Food Safety & Quality team.
• Foster a culture of safety by coaching and developing team members to maintain safe work practices.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
