Job summary

Ornua Co-operative Limited is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Whitehall East Facility in Wisconsin. You will manage daily staffing and oversee production and packaging rooms, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality and cost controls.

You will translate weekly schedules to the floor, train staff on safe practices, and ensure proper labeling and batch sizing. You report to the Plant Manager and contribute to audits, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Supervisory Management, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years’ experience supervising a production workforce in food companies (cheese preferred).
• Lead and direct others to achieve results.
• Handle stressful, emotional, and conflicting situations.
• Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, materials.
• Excellent verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
• Provide effective leadership and promote teamwork.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Interpersonal skills for diverse backgrounds.
• Multi-project experience within deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of production equipment design and sanitary design is a plus.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create daily staffing plans for production processes.
• Train and audit employees in designated areas.
• Translate daily production schedule to floor level.
• Ensure proper labeling and batch quantities per requirements.
• Coordinate materials and inventory for daily production.
• Document and enforce HACCP, GMP and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and audits (WDATCP).
• Assist in risk management and incident investigations as needed.
• Resolve equipment or personnel issues on the floor.
• Support product change-overs and shift handoffs.
• Guide breaks in designated areas and manage end-of-day sanitation prep.
• Generate production area documentation.
• Participate in training and management meetings.
