Job summary

TechOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior FOIA Analyst to support a federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program. The analyst will manage requests from intake through final response, following the client agency’s procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities include independently reviewing complex FOIA cases, applying exemptions, handling eDiscovery, redaction, and drafting final production packages and responses. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of FOIA experience.
• Expertise in FOIA exemptions and Privacy Act.
• Experience with eDiscovery and Relativity is desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review and process complex FOIA cases from intake to final response.
• Identify responsive records and conduct disclosure analyses.
• Apply FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions with documented legal basis.
• Manage large volumes of electronic records using case-management and eDiscovery tools.
• Draft communications and final production documents.
• Coordinate with program offices and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain complete FOIA case files in the system.
