Job summary

TechOp Solutions International seeks an experienced FOIA Analyst to process moderately complex to complex FOIA requests and support disclosure reviews, appeals, litigation matters, records redaction, correspondence preparation, and quality assurance activities.

Duties include reviewing requests of varying complexity, determining responsiveness, applying FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions, drafting correspondence, supporting appeals, and using case-management systems such as eDiscovery tools,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant FOIA experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FOIA exemptions, Privacy Act, disclosure analysis, appeals, and litigation support.
• Experience with eDiscovery, electronic case-management, and redaction tools; Relativity is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and process FOIA requests of varying complexity.
• Determine responsiveness of records to requests.
• Apply FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions as warranted.
• Prepare records for release with redactions.
• Draft correspondence to requesters and coordinate with custodians.
• Support FOIA appeals and litigation by organizing case files and preparing documentation.
• Record actions and documentation in the tracking system.
• Prepare indices, status reports, and disclosure analyses.
