Synectic Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Systems Engineer to support PMA-272 at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role focuses on requirements management, coordination, and effective communication with stakeholders across Navy, partners, and industry.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in engineering, with 3+ years in DoD systems, plus experience with FMS programs and international defense cooperation. U.S. citizenship and active clearance are required.

Qualifications

Must have at least ten years in an engineering position, with at least three in DoD systems.
Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs required.
Understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation desired.
Ability to liaise with stakeholders across U.S. Navy, partners, and industry.

Responsibilities

Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems.
Principal areas of responsibility include requirements management, coordination of internal and external action items, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Establishes and maintains communication with project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM officials, competency management and IPT team members to ensure Systems Engineering practices and processes are followed appropriately.
Lead Risk Management process within the international team.
Respond to engineering taskers as directed by the Program Office leadership.
Prepares project correspondence such as technical reports, letters, and memorandums.
Serves as PMA-251’s Systems Engineering representative and provides technical inputs and prepares appropriate correspondence and reports such as trip reports, meeting action items, etc.
