Job summary

Moonshot in New York is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the Flutter iOS/Android trading experience. You will own architecture, a company-wide design system, and high-performance mobile features for a fast-growing fintech app.

You will ship interactive trading experiences, drive performance, implement automated testing, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product, Growth, and Backend teams. Hybrid/remote options noted.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of professional mobile development, with 3+ years in Flutter in production or equivalent (React Native, Kotlin, Swift).
• Experience owning large-scale consumer apps end-to-end, ideally fintech/trading or similar.
• Strong understanding of mobile architectures, state management, navigation, modularization, and tradeoffs.
• Experience building or leading design systems/UI libraries in Flutter or other frameworks.
• Solid fundamentals: testing, CI/CD for mobile, monitoring, and release management.
• Proven ability to mentor other engineers and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and long-term evolution of Moonshot’s Flutter app across iOS and Android.
• Design, implement, and maintain a company-wide mobile design system and component library.
• Build interactive trading experiences: live prices, charts, order tickets, history, notifications, portfolio views.
• Drive mobile performance: profiling, memory, network usage, crash reduction.
• Implement automated testing and contribute to release and QA processes.
• Collaborate with Product/Growth to integrate analytics, A/B testing, feature flags, and events.
• Partner with Backend/Platform on API design, data models, error handling, resilience.
• Lead by example through code reviews, docs, and mentorship; participate in on-call rotations.
