Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a CFD engineer to contribute to design and qualification of combustion devices and propulsion hardware. You will perform CFD analyses on injectors, thrust chambers, and heat exchangers, interfacing with hardware designers to influence robust, manufacturable designs.

You should have 5+ years in CFD, a strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer, and scripting skills in Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field.
• 5+ years of CFD experience (employment, internships, project work).
• Experience with pre/post-processing, meshing, and boundary conditions.
• Experience with scripting in Python or MATLAB.
• Strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and qualification of combustion devices hardware through CFD.
• Review test and flight data to anchor models.
• Interface with hardware designers and influence design decisions.
• Develop and recommend analysis approaches to reduce design iteration time.
• Demonstrate accountability, collaboration, and execution.
