Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a CFD-focused engineer to contribute to the design and qualification of propulsion hardware, including injectors, thrust chamber, heat exchangers, and igniters, using CFD methodologies. You will collaborate with hardware designers and apply thermofluid insights to guide design decisions and reduce iteration time.

We value a strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer, 5+ years of CFD experience, and scripting skills in Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing CFD analyses.
• Familiar with pre/post-processing, meshing, boundary conditions, etc.
• Experience with basic engineering scripting in Python, MATLAB, or similar.
• Strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and qualification of combustion devices hardware through CFD analysis.
• Interface with hardware designers and use thermofluid expertise to influence design decisions.
• Develop and recommend analysis approaches to shorten design iteration time.
• Perform CFD reviews of injectors, thrust chamber, heat exchangers, igniters.
• Demonstrate accountability, collaboration, and execution in projects.

Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field
