Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Principal Fluid Systems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain fluid systems for nuclear plants, including uprates and advanced reactors. You will own system requirements, create and update P&ID, and perform thermal-hydraulic analyses while leading small teams.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager of Nuclear Process & Power Conversion Systems and offers a hybrid schedule with 2 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear.
• Minimum 8 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA.
• Familiarity with testing and testing analysis.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications.
• Perform steady-state and dynamic fluid network analyses.
• Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to engineering personnel in various design and analysis efforts.
• Lead small teams (3-5 people) on projects.
• Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management.
