Job summary
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Quality Control Analyst III/IV for our GMP labs. The role focuses on flow cytometry-based cell characterization, potency testing, and qPCR-related work in human cell and gene therapy products.
The candidate will lead assay development, validation, and transfer, and may mentor junior staff. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in biologics or cellular therapeutics, strong data analysis, and experience with analytical software and panel design.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in a biological science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years with biologics/cellular therapeutics.
- Hands-on flow cytometry for cell characterization.
- Experience with assay development, validation, and transfer.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead flow cytometry-based characterization, identity, purity, viability, and potency assays for in-process and release testing.
- Oversee development, optimization, validation, and transfer of analytical methods.
- Design, execute, and document validation for analytical assays.
- Develop multi-color flow cytometry panels.
- Mentor junior staff and serve as SME in GMP practices.
