Job summary

Genentech is seeking a highly motivated leader to provide scientific and technical leadership for the flow cytometry analytical development team, establishing analytical methods and best practices to support cell therapy process and product development in a cross-functional setting.

The role leads a team of three Technical Development Scientists, collaborating with Process Development, Quality Control, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, and

Qualifications

PhD in Biological Sciences or related field with 3+ years (MS/BS with 9+ years) experience.
Proven supervision and mentoring of analytical development teams for cell therapy products.
Experience with cGMPs, ICH, and FDA regulatory frameworks; DOE design of experiments.

Responsibilities

Lead development of robust multicolor flow cytometry methods.
Represent analytics in CMC and program meetings.
Transfer methods to GMP QC team and partners.
Foster collaboration with cross-functional groups supporting method development and product characterization.
Provide training and mentorship to teams developing flow cytometry methods.
Stay updated on industry trends and analytical platforms.
Draft technical reports, SOPs, and test protocols.
Drive program milestones through team leadership.
