Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Sr. Designer to lead the design team and deliver consultative design services to customers. You will meet clients, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft design concepts reflecting personal style and budget.

The role requires design education or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating with store leadership.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years of interior design experience in lieu of education.
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• Prior retail/sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Greet customers and support in-store design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
