Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks an experienced Flight Instructor to deliver simulator and ground school training in accordance with CAE and FAA standards. You will guide students through licenses and type ratings, acting as SME and mentoring junior instructors.

After 1.5+ years, instructors may advance to Training Center Evaluator and contract check airman per business needs, with opportunities for curriculum development and student success.

Qualifications

• Hold or meets qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Jet Type Rating.
• Prior Part 142 TCE experience recommended.
• CFII/MEI experience recommended.
• A passion for teaching others through strong communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
• Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides simulator/flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types as assigned for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
• Conducts pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
• Completes training records and tracks instructional qualifications and activity.
• Acts as SME in curriculum and courseware creation when required.
• 2-year training commitment is required.
