Job summary

Archer, a Silicon Valley aerospace leader, seeks a Sr. Product Quality Engineer - Flight Test to join our on-site team at the Salinas operations center.

You will drive flight-line quality, coordinate FAA conformity activities, and manage MRB dispositions while collaborating with Design and Test Operations to refine products. The role requires a 5+ year track record in aerospace quality or manufacturing, GD&T proficiency, and FAI/AS9100 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years hands-on quality or manufacturing engineering in aerospace or flight test environments.
• Direct, hands-on experience supporting active flight lines, flight test centers, or aircraft hanger operations.
• Applied knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and verifying assemblies against engineering models.
• Experience with AS19102 First Article Inspections (FAI), MRB dispositioning, and FAA conformity processes.
• Experience navigating PLM, MES, and ERP platforms to execute inspection plans and disposition non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Flight line quality execution: inspect and disposition airframe components, avionics, wire harnesses, and integrated systems.
• FAA & conformity support: prepare hardware/docs/tools for FAA inspections and perform FAIs and verification checks.
• Non-conformance & MRB disposition: conduct MRB dispositions and apply RCCA/CAPA to resolve defects.
• Inspection planning: develop electronic inspection plans within MES for consistent verification.
• Dimensional verification: review drawings and model definitions using GD&T and metrology tools to verify hardware.
• Cross-functional bridge: partner with Design, Aircraft Integration, and Test Operations to feed learnings back into design loops.
