Job summary

Archer is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer in San Jose, CA to lead supplier quality activities for a cutting-edge aerospace program. You will ensure conformity of supplied hardware, drive improvements, and manage AS9100/FAA compliance with audits and corrective actions.

The role requires 7+ years in Quality/Operations/Supply chain, deep aircraft component knowledge, and experience with APQP/PPAP, Six Sigma, and data analysis tools such as Excel/Tableau/MiniTab.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in Quality/Operations/Supply chain.
• Deep technical expertise in aircraft components: composites or wiring.
• AS9100/FAA/NADCAP quality systems experience including auditing.
• Proficiency with PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T.
• AS9102 and FAA conformity knowledge.
• Experience driving supplier improvements with 8D.
• Knowledge of AS9145/AS9134; APQP/PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier quality management per AS9100/FAA requirements.
• Perform supplier quality audits and monitor supplier scorecards.
• Apply APQP/PPAP/AS9145, Six Sigma, and Lean to drive performance.
• Manage ASL/AVL, dock-to-stock, non-conforming material, and SCAR processes.
• Discipline and resolve nonconformances; ensure timely MRB actions.
• Serve as SME for the assigned technical quality work package.
