Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our Testing group at Edwards AFB, CA. 100% on-site work with responsibilities spanning test planning, data analysis, safety planning and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 5+ years (or 8+ for Sr level), and an active Secret clearance with SAP eligibility. Preferred are experience in GNC, control laws, MATLAB, and IADS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) required.
• Active Secret clearance or eligibility; must obtain/maintain SAP clearance.
• Preferred MATLAB and IADS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans, safety plans, test schedules, and procedures for developmental testing.
• Provide control room support and real-time decisions on safety and efficiency.
• Support test readiness reviews and briefings for senior leadership.
