Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• GPA 3.0 or higher where applicable.
• Proficient use of advanced engineering and flight test tools; strong troubleshooting of avionics installations.
• Understanding of certification processes and regulations; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafts ground and flight test plans and reports for complex programs.
• Coordinates and executes flight tests as part of a flight test crew; may act as test director.
• Defines and maintains flight test configurations across multiple aircraft programs.
• Operates flight test tools, analyzes real-time data, and adjusts test parameters.
• Proposes viable solutions to issues identified during flight test.
• Prepares avionics installation data for test aircraft.
• Interfaces with certification authorities to resolve issues.
• Revises procedures and contributes to safety improvements.
• Provides reliable problem-solving across difficult test scenarios.
• Mentors less experienced flight test engineers.
