Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer for its Salem, Oregon location. This full-time role provides technical leadership in drafting and executing ground and flight test plans, performing real-time data analysis, and adjusting test parameters for complex programs during flight testing.

You will act as Test Director on challenging projects, coordinate test aircraft configurations with engineering teams, and collaborate with certification authorities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in advanced flight test tools and avionics system installations.
• Solid understanding of certification processes and related regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafts ground and flight test plans and reports for complex programs.
• Coordinates and executes complex flight tests as part of a flight test crew, including acting as test director.
• Maintains test aircraft configurations and coordinates with engineering teams.
• Operates flight test tools and performs real-time data analysis and parameter adjustments.
• Mentors junior flight test engineers.
