Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Consulting Test Conductor to join a team in Palmdale/EAFB, CA. You will support test planning, execution and analysis in a Combined Test Force, applying engineering principles to optimize testing and interact with multiple organizations and stakeholders.

The role requires a STEM degree with substantial experience and an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) with ongoing evaluation, plus SAP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 14 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 12 years, or PhD with 10 years.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) with recent background investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.
• Experience in test plan and test card development, review and execution.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyzes and provides recommendations to identify hazards.
• Develops and evaluates systems and support equipment for safety and standards.
• Applies engineering to plan, test, and evaluate military weapons systems.
• Reviews and prepares technical analyses, reports, and test documentation.
• Reviews architecture and interfaces for safety on complex hardware/software.
• Supports mission control room operations.
• Mentors and trains junior Flight Test Engineers.
• Collaborates with government counterparts to improve CTF processes.
