Rocket Lab, based in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Flight Software Engineer II to own and advance flight software for Space Systems programs. You will develop software for RTOS/Embedded Linux, write drivers for IMUs and star trackers, and contribute to on-orbit operations.

You’ll work across hardware-in-the-loop testing and systems engineering teams to define and verify requirements. You will join a fast-moving, pioneering team focused on bold space missions, with opportunities to test software

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ languages
• Experience with RTOS or Embedded Linux
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required

Responsabilidades

• Develop application software to run within RTOS and/or embedded Linux
• Develop hardware drivers for IMUs, Star Trackers, Reaction Wheels and other sensors/actuators
• Maintain comprehensive unit tests in a CI framework
• Collaborate with hardware-in-the-loop test engineers
• Collaborate with systems and embedded engineers to develop requirements
• Participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR)
• Review source code changes to meet coding standards
• Assist with on-orbit flight operations
