Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Software Simulation Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software for advanced flight simulators. You will work across avionics, IOS, and interfaces to audio, visual, motion, and I/O systems, in Linux and Windows environments.

The role involves full lifecycle software engineering with a focus on simulation and modeling for real-time systems, along with collaboration across teams and opportunities to mentor junior engineers. Onsite work is required five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or CS is required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and legacy languages in simulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate software for flight simulators and IOS interfaces.
• Support lifecycle software engineering across requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated simulation solutions.
• Prepare software design and documentation for reviews and audits.
• Present software designs at customer reviews and discussions with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
