Job summary

Grex Defense, Inc. seeks a hands-on Senior Simulation Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy simulation capabilities for clean-sheet autonomous aircraft.

You will integrate aerodynamic data, vehicle dynamics, controls, actuation, and environmental models within an integrated simulation environment to support real-time execution and flight-test readiness. You will help define simulation workflows, mentor engineers, and shape a simulation organization capable of supporting multiple vehicle

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing flight-vehicle or complex dynamic-system simulations.
• Expert proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Strong software development in C/C++, including integrating with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience architecting nonlinear six-degree-of-freedom vehicle simulations.
• Understanding of rigid-body/multi-body dynamics and numerical integration.
• Experience designing SIL environments for control/autonomy software.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy simulation capabilities for autonomous aircraft.
• Connect aerodynamic data, vehicle dynamics, controls, actuation, environments, and visualization in a single simulator.
• Design software-in-the-loop (SIL) workflows and standards.
• Build models that progress from concept analysis to real-time execution and flight-test support.
• Collaborate across aerodynamics, GNC, autonomy, propulsion, systems, software, and flight-test disciplines.
