Job summary

Grex Defense, Inc. seeks a Senior GNC Engineer to architect, develop, implement, and test inner-loop flight controls for a new class of autonomous aircraft. You will build the simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environment and prove control performance through ground and flight tests.

You will shape GNC workflows, toolchains, and technical standards while collaborating with aerodynamics, avionics, propulsion, and test teams to iterate designs fast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical discipline.
• Significant professional experience in GNC, flight-control, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Experience taking a vehicle from modeling to hardware integration and real-world testing.
• Expert knowledge of inner-loop flight or vehicle controls: rate, attitude, velocity, position.
• Strong background in linearization, PID, gain scheduling, loop shaping, and stability margins.
• Experience with nonlinear 6-DOF vehicle simulations and state machines.
