Job summary

Corvid Technologies seeks qualified candidates to join our Range Safety Group, focusing on managing risks from missile launch and test operations. The role integrates flight dynamics, statistics, debris modeling, software development, and safety processes to protect the public and mission-critical assets.

The candidate will conduct risk analyses, validate results, and communicate methodologies to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with senior roles offering mentorship and leadership

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field with at least 3 years of range safety experience.
• Proficiency in probability, statistics, data processing and data analysis using Python and MATLAB on large data sets.
• Strong communication, sound engineering judgment and multidisciplinary mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze nominal and off-nominal vehicle trajectories and predict debris impacts.
• Model vehicle breakup debris including ballistic and lifting fragments.
• Quantify how launch system components affect failure modes and mission assumptions.
• Perform probabilistic risk analyses to determine debris risk to public and personnel.
• Develop and validate flight safety risk mitigation products such as hazard areas and rules.
• For senior candidates, help define analysis approaches, review technical products, mentor analysts, and communicate methods.
