Job summary

Corvid Technologies seeks early-career Flight Safety Analysts to help manage debris risk during missile, launch, and test operations. You will apply engineering analysis, trajectory modeling, and software tools to protect people and assets, with on-the-job training in flight safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a STEM background, 0-3 years experience, and programming skills in MATLAB and Python. The role offers growth opportunities, security-clearance readiness, and a path toward independent

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Math, Physics or similar STEM discipline
  • Programming experience with MATLAB and Python for engineering analysis
  • Coursework or experience in probability, statistics, numerical methods, dynamics, aerospace systems, CS, or related technical areas

Responsibilities

  • Use analysis tools to predict debris impact locations from off-nominal flight, missile malfunction, or termination actions
  • Support probabilistic risk analyses to estimate statistical risk to the public and personnel
  • Develop flight safety risk mitigation products (e.g., flight termination limit lines, hazard areas, predicted impact areas)
  • Process, analyze, and visualize trajectory, debris, and Monte Carlo data using MATLAB, Python, and related tools
  • Develop, improve, and validate software tools, scripts, and automated workflows for flight safety analysis
  • Document assumptions, methods, results, and quality-control checks for range safety studies
  • Review inputs, validate outputs, troubleshoot issues, and prepare technical briefings for internal/customer review
