Job summary

Corvid Technologies seeks qualified candidates to join our Range Safety Group, applying risk analysis to protect public and mission assets during missile launch and test operations. The role integrates flight dynamics, statistics, debris modeling, software development, and safety processes in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will independently manage workload, validate results, and communicate methodologies to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with potential senior mentorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant range safety experience.
• Proficiency with probability and statistics, data processing, and data analysis using standard software (Python and MATLAB).
• Strong communication skills and multidisciplinary, mission-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze nominal and off-nominal trajectories and predict debris impacts.
• Model debris from vehicle breakup, including ballistic fragments.
• Quantify effects on failure modes and probabilities of launch systems.
• Perform probabilistic risk analyses to determine debris risk to public and staff.
• Develop and validate flight safety risk mitigation products (limit lines, hazard areas, impact areas).
• For senior candidates, define analysis approaches, review technical work, mentor analysts, and communicate complex methods.
