Job summary

FedEx Corporation in Juneau, AK seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and documentation on FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.

Requires a High School diploma or GED and 4 years of fleet/automotive/truck maintenance experience; ASE Master certification preferred; valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 pounds; welding and DC electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/G.E.D. Four (4) Years Fleet, Automotive, Or Truck Vehicle Maintenance Experience And Applicable Licenses/Vocational Training.
  • Knowledge Of The Use And Operation Of All Automotive Equipment And Testing Equipment.
  • Possession Of A Complete Set Of Hand Tools, Including Metric Sizes.
  • Ability To Work Without Supervision For Extended Time Periods.
  • Must Possess A Valid Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and documentation on FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.
  • Work with automotive equipment, testing equipment, gauges and tools for hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and/or hybrid systems.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavier components with assistance.
  • Operate safely in a noisy, non-climate-controlled work area and adhere to safety policies.
