Job summary

FedEx Corporation in Texas is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to service FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and thorough documentation of all work performed.

You will need a high school diploma or GED, four years of fleet/automotive experience, relevant licenses, a complete hand tool set, and the ability to lift heavy components. Welding and DC electrical troubleshooting are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/G.E.D. Four (4) Years Fleet, automotive, or truck vehicle maintenance experience and applicable licenses/vocational training.
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing equipment, gauges and tools used in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and/or hybrid equipment.
  • Possession of a complete set of hand tools, including metric sizes.
  • Ability to work without supervision for extended periods; must lift and maneuver heavy components.
  • Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, quality maintenance for FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and thorough documentation of work.
  • Operate related automotive tools and testing equipment to diagnose issues.
  • Welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting may be required.
