Job summary

US3081 Sygma Carolina (The Sygma Network, Inc) is seeking a Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicles and cost-efficient performance through preventive maintenance and expert repair. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of fleet equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience, relevant ASE certifications or EPA knowledge, and a CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• CDL preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, Reefer units and other equipment.
• Diagnose causes and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications for engines, transmissions, suspensions and electrical systems.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups promptly.
• Follow work orders and document all performed work.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I/II to assist in development.
• May perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Supervisors are unavailable.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing and low-voltage controls.
• Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed.
