Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Fleet Technician to assist with preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will work to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency while ensuring DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include performing inspections and maintenance per company methods, documenting work in SAP, and developing efficiency with maintenance software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Equivalent.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school.
• Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
• Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
• ASE Certification – Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
• Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM & component mfg.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform maintenance repairs on all fleet vehicles including engines, transmissions, and other major systems in a safe, efficient manner.
• Document all work performed on Work Order (SAP) using Complaint, Cause, and Correction Format.
• Learn & develop efficiency in all Maintenance Relates Sysco Computer programs.
