Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approved automotive maintenance program completion or equivalent.
• Two years in an automotive maintenance facility as a repair technician.
• Five additional years in maintenance work may be considered in lieu of the program.
• Able to meet and work with people; physically able.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul motors, transmissions, and differentials; analyze motors.
• Overhaul and adjust brake systems.
• Repair, overhaul and align front end and steering systems.
• Repack, adjust, or replace bearings.
• Repair and overhaul fuel and cooling systems.
• Install, repair and overhaul electrical systems.
• Do welding; paint or touch up as needed.
• Make modifications on equipment as required.
• Install crew cab glass and repair suspension.
• Replace or repair tires and balance wheels.
