Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a maintenance technician to perform diagnosis and repair across a range of transportation equipment, including cars, trucks, aerial units and power-operated devices. The role involves electrical, hydraulic, and chassis work, plus welding as needed, with safety-sensitive duties under the DOT framework.

Qualifications

• Two years in an automotive maintenance facility in a repair technician role or equivalent.
• Must pass the CAST aptitude test (Construction Skilled Trades) and a automotive mechanic exam.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL License with Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis and repair of engine, drive train, body, chassis, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and maintain transportation equipment including passenger cars, trucks, aerial units and power operated equipment.
• Welding and other related maintenance tasks as required.
• Adhere to safety requirements as the position includes safety-sensitive functions.
