Job summary

Americrane Rentals is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to oversee maintenance and fleet performance across our crane and heavy equipment fleet. You will lead shop operations, manage field technicians, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance on multi-state projects.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with heavy machinery, strong leadership, and a track record of improving uptime and shop efficiency in fast-paced rental environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance management.
• Experience with cranes, heavy trucks, or similar machinery.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily maintenance shop and field technicians.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for cranes, tractors, trailers, and support equipment.
• Ensure DOT, OSHA, and manufacturer service requirements are met.
• Monitor uptime, repair timelines, and maintenance KPIs.
• Coordinate major repairs, inspections, and rebuilds.
• Develop and control maintenance budgets and parts inventory.
