Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Florida seeks an experienced fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and document tasks on the FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment. You will guide technicians and trainees while ensuring OSHA and DOT standards are met.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED with vocational automotive training; ASE Master certification is preferred, and four years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED; vocational automotive training preferred; ASE Master certification preferred.
  • 4 years fleet/automotive maintenance experience; welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and tools for hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and/or hybrid systems.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication with traffic safety officials and FMCSA guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation.
  • Document work and maintain inventory using FedEx computer systems.
  • Guide and support technicians and trainees.
  • Ensure work complies with OSHA and DOT standards.
