Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Predictive Fleet Intelligence to lead monitoring strategy, detection logic, and engineering standards across a fleet of industrial assets. You will transform operational experience into scalable engineering specifications to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

The role partners with Software Engineering, Data Science, and Reliability teams to develop fleet health products, dashboards, and decision-support tools,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
• Eight (8) or more years of experience in systems engineering, reliability engineering, industrial controls, automation, predictive maintenance, asset performance management, or complex industrial systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation, condition monitoring technologies, and operational data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement fleet health monitoring strategy, system design, and monitoring requirements for complex industrial assets.
• Develop engineering specifications for predictive monitoring capabilities, including leading indicators, detection logic, and alerting criteria.
• Create and maintain the knowledge base of failure modes, leading indicators, and recommended field responses to enable scalable monitoring across the fleet.
• Collaborate with software engineering, digital product, and data science teams to deliver predictive analytics and fleet intelligence solutions.
